MIDNIGHT: Tales from the Timeless City

The City of Midnight. Gothic and endless, its architectures shifting and unpredictable.

A dream. A nightmare.

A metropolis floating outside space and time, where lost beings, coming from every world and age, find themselves. Immortal, it will never end since it never truly had a beginning.

Only a few souls remember how they got there, but everyone agrees that leaving is almost impossible. Some call it a prison, some consider it the closest thing to beatitude.

Some swear to have seen familiar geometries among the austere spires piercing the eternal night sky; others, perhaps in an effort to preserve their own sanity, try to recognize elements of their own native land.

Despite the Shapeless Council’s attempts to govern the endless metropolis and enforce order among the sometimes vicious creatures dwelling in it, anyone who spent some canons within Midnight City knows that the true power belongs to the formidable entities that are simply known as Outsiders.

In Midnight, you play the role of a creature that came to Midnight City, possibly forever losing the ability to go back to their own land and their own time. You will explore a world of wonders, macabre and bizarre, where nothing is what it seems. If you are skilled, and capable of making your own fortune, you might even survive it.

Midnight is a personal experiment, a light, bizarre "pocket" role playing game. The 20-pages rulebook contains all information needed to play; each player will also need a standard deck of poker cards, plus a Sleeper Card and five Trait Cards (the print file for those is included in this product).
