The Little Book of Adventuring Classes Vol. 1
Swords & Wizardry
44 pages (40 content, 2 cover, 2 OGL)

The first volume in a series of minimalist design, small page-count books offering big play options for your gaming table.

In this volume, we present 5 new races for your games, along with 8 new classes tied to some of the races as well as races in the core book. Will you play a Bugbear Stalker, a Halfling Grifter, or a Dragonkin Radiant? What about a Goblin Firespitter, or a Dwarven Bloodstormer? If your current character dies, will they come back as a Reaver?

This supplement for the Swords & Wizardry roleplaying game works best with the Complete version of the game, but can easily be converted to work with the other older versions. The content within can also be readily used with other roleplaying game systems if you have an alternative favorite rule set.

Includes 8 New Classes:

  • Bloodstormer
  • Deathwitch
  • Firespitter
  • Grifter
  • Radiant
  • Reaver
  • Stalker
  • Waterstrider
and 5 New Races:
  • Bugbear
  • Dragonkin
  • Goblin
  • Sahuagin
  • Unliving
Look for additional volumes of The Little Book of Adventuring Classes coming your way soon!

Was looking forward to future issues. But number of sales didn't go as well as expected, I presume?

Unfortunately over the past few years I found myself swamped with real life and unable to get much time to work on projects. Things have recently changed, allowing me to return to publishing. I'm hoping to get the next volume released shortly, as it's mostly already complete.

This is a wonderful little booklet chocked full of great stuff. My only issue is deciding which class to play because there are so many good ones. I cant wait for the next books, and hopefully a collected print version once they are all released.
I would buy at least 6 copies for my gaming group.

Thanks for the many nights of gaming fun!!

Nice little book, series shows promise. But where is the BHB per class, or even a note as to what attack value they use?

The Attack Table to use for each Class was meant to show up in the box text for each entry, but got hidden. A new version has been released showing that text now.

The quote for the Wavestrider is the same as the quote for the Stalker.

Jason: Thanks for the new S&W/OSR product. A question on the Bloodstormer. Under the "Blood frenzy" ability it says:" For each ounce of blood ingested or spilled, a bloodstormer activates a frenzy that lasts for a certain number of combat rounds (see Advancement Table)". However on the AT, there is no column for the # of Frenzy per level. Only a column for the Bloodwell Points. Could you advise of the errata or how to determine the number of Blood Frenzy?

Good catch! I caught that myself as I was doing a re-review of the book, and the text has been corrected and updated. There's also a number of new spells for the Deathwitch, courtesy of Timothy S. Brannan, who released them elsewhere.

The new version is available to download now and should be in your library.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
